I’m Elaine, a graduate of a tiny liberal arts college’s MA in Publishing program. Over the last three years, I’ve been studying comics, specifically, the specialized publishing practices that developed in the comics industry independently from traditional publishing. More recently, I’ve researched library marketing and indie comics distribution. (By research, I mean I wrote my capstone thesis on it. Please ask me about my capstone thesis. I’m not tired of it yet.)

I started this blog as part of an assignment for my final class, Digital Publishing, and intend to continue posting here post-graduation for as long as possible. I also intend to fix that shelving situation pictured above, find a satisfactory way to display all my zines, check out some comics-related collections in the Philadelphia area (and beyond), and show you some very cool literary gems.
