Online Storefronts of Independent Bookshops Affected by Coronavirus

On March 12, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf asked all nonessential retailers in Montgomery County to close for two weeks. Since then, I’ve seen seen several tweets mentioning Bookshop.org, an online bookstore that provides financial support to indie bookstores. As the website is still in beta, some of the search functions can be a bit clunky, and the individual book pages found through the general search don’t give you the option to buy from a specific store. (You can read more about how sales are distributed on Bookshop.org’s About page.)

I’ve started a working list of online storefronts of bookstores for those looking to support their local businesses or help shops in areas hit especially hard by coronavirus (starting off with my own county’s indie bookstores).

Update March 20th: Good news! Bookshop.org now has a store locator function. Check it out!
In light of this development, I’ve shortened the list to stores that don’t (yet) have Bookshop.org pages, and will try to keep that updated as more join.
