About the Site

SpiderHouses is a blog dedicated to comics publishing, special collections, and the art of book browsing. It debuted in March 2020 as part of an assignment for Rosemont College’s Digital Publishing course.

About the Publisher

Elaine Maulucci (a.k.a. spiderhouses on most online platforms) is a comics enthusiast and researcher. She graduated from Rosemont College with a Master of Arts in Publishing after completing her capstone thesis on small press comics and library marketing. Before pursuing her Master’s degree, she worked as an EFL instructor in Osaka, Japan.

She is a Philadelphia native who enjoys hanging out in coffee shops, exploring Fairmount Park trails, and posting pictures of street art on her personal Instagram.

Elaine also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and East Asian Studies from Ursinus College.
